EVALUATION ON CORROSION RESISTANCE PERFORMANCEOF COPPER AND COPPER ALLOYSIN HIGH TEMPERATURE SEAWATER

摘要

Potentiodynamic test and weight-loss test have been used to evaluate the corrosionrnresistance performance of TUP, B10 and B30 in 90℃(194℉)seawater. Corrosion appearance andrnaverage corrosion rate have been studied in weigh-loss test, the result shows that corrosion resistancernperformance of B30 is the best, and the TUP’s is the worst. In potentiodynamic test the same result wasrnobtained. The results of two tests indicate that the corrosion resistance performance of B30 is the bestrnin 90℃seawater, and effect of 90℃ seawater on corrosion rate of copper and copper-nickel alloys isrnless.
