Prestressed concrete 'speedy giant' prefabrication

The "Prefabricated Span Method" is described with reference to the construction of a viaduct in a seismic zone in ltaly.It consists of a continuous box girder deck with 42 m spans,made of prefabricated 9000kN prestressed concrete giant elements allowing a final progress rate of one span per day.
