Update on CLASSIFICATION OF STYRENE and Innovative Solutions

1. The EU Commission will publish the following classification for Styrene in the Official Journal of EU in March 2014:rn–Category 1 (Presumed or Confirmed) for Specific Target Organ Toxicity following repeated exposure (STOT RE 1). The accompanying recommended hazard statement is H372 “Causes damage to hearing organs through prolonged or repeated exposure via inhalation”rn–Category 2 (Suspected) for reproductive toxicity accompanied by Hazard statement H361d “Suspected of damaging the unborn child”.
