PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a classification dictionary updating device, classification dictionary updating program, and classification dictionary updating method, capable of easily deriving an evaluation, such as acceptance/rejection, to an update (editing/addition) proposal, and capable of efficiently performing dictionary construction. PSOLUTION: While a received proposal for updating a hierarchical classification dictionary 20 is stored in a proposal history storage part 19, a similar proposal that is similar to the received proposal is extracted through searching the past updating proposals stored in the proposal history storage part 19, and the extracted similar proposal is presented. Thus, presentation of the proposal similar to the received proposal for updating the hierarchical classification dictionary 20, by use of an existing dictionary editing history, allows the evaluation, such as acceptance/rejection to the update (editing/addition) proposal to be easily derived, and thereby dictionary construction can be performed efficiently.
