The sulfur dioxide adsorption capacity of Y zeolites were determined at temperatures from 25 to 200℃ and sulfur dioxide concentrations in the feeding gas from 0,92 to 5,04 (% vol.). The effect of the adsorption-thermal regeneration cycles on the adsorption capacity of the Y zeolites were determined too. YHNa zeolite was found to remove sulfur dioxide from synthetic gases to give SO_2-free effluents.
