Synthesis and Characterization of some Complex Combinations of Rutin with Various Metal Ions

The paper deals with the use of rutin as a ligand to obtain some complexes with Al~(3+), Cu~(2+), Co~(2+), Ni~(2+) and Cr~(3+). The synthesis of the complex combinations was performed by dissolving the rutin in absolute methanol, to which the salt of respective metal dissolved in the same solvent, is added. To provide some optimum reaction conditions, anhydrous sodium acetate was added, too. The complexes obtained were characterized with a view to establish their structure by IR and NIR spectrometry, thermogravimetrical analysis and atomic absorption spectrometry.
