The release of heavy metals into our environment is still large. It is well known that some metals can have poisonous or otherwise harmful effects on many farms of life. This paper presents the preliminary results obtained in the some heavy metal removal by ionic exchange on a synthetic zeolite - type clinoptilalite. In this purpose it was mixed heavy metal 5.10~(-2) M solutions with 0.5 grams of synthetic clinoptilolite in the liquid solid ratio of 100, At different lapses of time the mixtures were filtered and the heavy metal concentrations were determined in the liquid phase. The calculated tonic exchange capacity was found to be between 2.8 - 5.3 meq/L for copper, lead, and nickel divalent tons. We can observe that the ionic exchange capacity for the considered synthetic wastewater containing 5.10~(-2) M heavy metal have variable values depending on the dimensional compatibility of the involved calionie species with the clinoptilolite matrix and also on the mixing time.
