The article is concerned with the method, which makes it possible to determine optimal values of phase balancing coefficients for steel-making electric arc furnaces. Application of this method will contribute to setting electrode positioning control system in accordance with the design features of the furnace, thus resulting in improving the total energy efficiency of the electrotechnical complex. The electric arc furnace EAF-120 equipped with the control system of electrical modes Hireg Plus (Danieli, Italy) was chosen as the subject of the research work.
