In the search for new phosphors among various compounds in sodium calcium silicates, two new materials, Na_2Ca_3Si_2O_8 and Na_2Ca_6Si_4O_(15), were discovered as hosts for Eu~(2+) -activated phosphors. They exhibited green emissions at 522 and 533 nm, respectively, with the corresponding excitation maxima at 327 nm.
