摘要

Unstable equilibrium point (UEP) and dynamic saddle point (DSP) are completely different concepts in the power system transient stability analysis. However, some research still hold the view that UEP accurately reflects the power system transient stability and try to define and find the so-called related UEP. In this paper, the differences and correlations between UEP and DSP in reflecting system transient stability characteristics are illustrated from the perspective of theoretical analysis and simulation examples.
