Sensorless Control of PMSM Based on Sliding Mode Observer

摘要

A novel speed and position sensorless control method for permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM)using a sliding mode observer is presented. In this paper, the sliding mode observer's structure and its design methodare described. First, by adopting mathematical model of PMSM in a stationary αβ reference frame, stator currentsare observed to achieve the stator speed and position of PMSM by using sliding mode observer. At the same time, theparameter variations of PMSM such as stator resistance and stator inductance have been studied. Second, theestimated rotor speed and position are obtained through a Lyapunov function. A novel equation and the gain ofobserver are obtained to estimate rotor speed. In order to eliminate chatting phenomenon, the conventional signfunction is replaced by a saturation function. Finally, experimental results show that the proposed observer canachieve satisfying performance and the feasibility is verified.
