摘要

Reason and motivation for the development of the NAEXUS was the virtual reconstruction of the ancient monastery Heisterbach with the aim to make the architecture of the not longer visible buildings close to reality and immersively recognizeable.More than six centuries,the valley in the north of the Siebengebirge Mountains in the west of Germany near Bonn,was characterized by monastic life.In1803the secularization finished the history of the monastery and most buildings were destroyed.Today,only a fragment of the ancient choir of the abbey church tells us something about the architecture of the past(fig.:01).
