Using the MESSENGER's magnetic field data during March2011to April2015,theaverage magnetic field structure of Mercury's magnetotail is statistically studiedwithin the downstream distance0~3RM.The observation characteristics revealed above draw the average morphology of Mercury's magnetotail.However,we should remind that the magnetic field structure in magnetotail could have significant reconfiguration in response to the variations of solar wind conditions or the substormlike processes as observed by other studies.Therefore,though this study is conducted regardless of the solar wind conditions and substorms,the evolution of magnetic structure responding to the solar wind conditions and the substormlike processes is worthy to be surveyed in the future studies.We hope our study can also benefit the Mercury's magnetosphere models for the further refinement.
