Thebiosorption and biodegradation of TPT by Bacillus thuriringiensis in the presence of tea saponin (TS) wasconducted in the present work. Ion assimilation and release, membrane permeability, cell viability, andprotein secretion with or without TS were also investigated.Triphenyltin was individually and synchronously transformed to diphenyltin and monophenyltin. Teasaponin significantly enhanced triphenyltin solubility, biosorption, membrane permeability, proteinexpression, cell density and Cl- and P043- use, reduced intracellular Na+, NH4+,K+ and Mg2+ release, andaccordingly increased triphenyltin biodegradation.
