Microwave/UV-Vis/H2O2 Process for Environmental Remediation: Elimination of Phototransformation of Malachite Green (MG) into Leuco-Malachite Green (LMG)
Phototransformations of malachite green(MG) into leuco-malachite green(LMG) with UV-Vis irradiation from microwave-powered electrodeless discharge lamps(EDL) during MW/UV-Vis and MW/UV-Vis/H2O2 process were comparatively investigated. For gain insig-ht about the degradation courses during MW/UV-Vis-based and MW/UV-Vis/H2O2-based pr-ocesses,high performance liquid chromatogramphy-electrospray ionization-mass spectrometry(HPLC-ESI-MS),gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS) and high perfor-mance liquid chromatogramphy(HPLC) techniques were utilized to disclose degradation differences from two chosen criterions,as follows:(1) main intermediates and itsconcentration,(2) the proportion of primary courses after certain interval.
