In this paper, the flight mechanism is studied via a simple mathematical model, according to which, the nonlinear dynamic behaviour is presented. Over 50 years’ debate on the flight behaviour: if the flight motor is incorporated a click mechanism and the doubt whether it exists or whether it is an artifact of experimental procedure. Recently, the dynamic analysis is introduced to discuss the advantages and disadvantages for this mechanism. This paper is to contribute more discussion by employing the nonlinear dynamics analysis technique. Complex dynamical behaviour, such as the coexistence of the periodic doublings to the coexisted chaos, while these chaotic attractors can be merged into a new chaotic motion as the parameter varies; higher order of subharmonic behaviour is presented and the basin analysis show the Wada behaviour of the coexisted attractors. These results may improve the understanding of the flight behaviour of the motor mechanism.
