In order to study the characteristic of the titanium alloys used as liner, the LS-DYNA program was used to simulate the formation process and penetration process of the titanium alloys liner, the difference between the characteristic of jet from titanium alloys and copper had been compared and analyzed. Series static armor-piercing tests were carried out, and the experimental results are compared with the numerical simulated results. The result shows that the jet forms when titanium alloys are used as liners, and the penetration diameter of the titanium alloys liner is large 30%than that of the copper liner, besides, certain of titanium alloys liner has a characteristic of slug-free.
