Objective: By researching the patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus ( T2DM ) , and thecalibration cross-sectional studies the factors affect blood essel function after different genders and testingvarious intima-media thickness ( IMT) values of blood uric acid level changes, study different blood uricacid level of atherosclerosis influence.rn Methods: According to the 2010 ADA criteria for the diagnosis of type2 diabetes mellitus, chose 402 patients without hematological system disease, hepatic and kidney disease, gout,cancer and thyroid diseases and so on.The subjects were divided into 4 groups ( groups A, B, C, D ) according to sex-specific quartiles of serum uric acid ( UA ) levels (<219, 219 ～ 285, 285 ～ 324,≥324 μmol/L in women and<265.5, 265.5～329, 329 ～ 349,≥349 μmol/L in men ) . To compare the clinical characteristics, carotid artery disease incidence among the groups. According to IMT, the patients were divided intoLEAD and NLEAD.Compare their blood UA level.rn Conclusions: In T2DM, high uric acid with obesity, blood insulin resistance, lipid metabolism disorders, increasedblood pressure relevant. Male patients with T2DM with its blood uric acid level is increasing gradually with increasing duration of diabetes, while women trend in patients with T2DM, blood with age related uric acid level.In T2DM, high uric acid lipid metabolism disorders, hematic disease, factors such as high blood pressure,smoking for influence both carotid intima-media thickness related factors. In women in T2DM, blood from lowto high blood serum uric acid level with blood, serum uric acid level of increased serum uric acid level has agradual higher IMT levels. blood serum uric acid is the carotid artery independent risk factors for the disease.Male patients for UA level carotid limb vasculopathy no independent role.
