Natural gas hydrates can readily form in deep-water oil production processes and pose a great threat to the oil industry.Moreover,the coexistence of hydrate and asphaltene can result in more severe challenges to subsea flow assurance.In order to study the effects of asphaltene on hydrate growth at the oil-water interface,a series of micro-experiments were conducted in a self-made reactor,where hydrates nucleated and grew on the surface of a water droplet immersed in asphaltene-containing oil.Based on the micro-observations,the shape and growth rate of the hydrate shell formed at the oil-water interface were mainly investigated and the effects of asphaltene on hydrate growth were analyzed.According to the experimental results,the shape of the water droplet and the interfacial area changed significantly after the formation of the hydrate shell when the asphaltene concentration was higher than a certain value.A mechanism related to the reduction of the interfacial tension caused by the absorption of asphaltenes on the interface was proposed for illustration.Moreover,the growth rate of the hydrate shell decreased significantly with the increasing asphaltene concentration under experimental conditions.The conclusions of this paper could provide preliminary insight how asphaltene affect hydrate growth at the oil-water interface.

Nanomaterials have been widely applied to many fields because of their excellent photocatalytic performance.The performance is closely related to the catalytic kinetics,but it is not completely clear about the influencing regularities of shape and particle size on the photocatalytic kinetics of nanomaterials and the photocatalytic kinetic mechanism.In this paper,nano-CeO_(2)with different shapes and particle sizes were prepared,the kinetic parameters of adsorption and photocatalytic degradation were determined,and the effects of shape and particle size on the kinetics of adsorption and photocatalysis and photocatalytic mechanism were discussed.The results show that the shape and particle size have significant influences.With the decreases of diameter,the performances of adsorption and photocatalysis of nano-CeO_(2)are improved;and these performances of spherical nano-CeO_(2)are greater than those of linear nano-CeO_(2).The shape and particle size have no effects on the kinetic order and mechanism of the whole photocatalytic process.Then a generalized mechanism of photocatalytic kinetics of nanomaterials was proposed and the mechanism rate equation was derived.Finally,the conclusion can be drawn:the desorption of photodegradation products is the control step of photocatalytic kinetics,and the kinetic order of photocatalytic degradation reaction is 1.The mechanism is universal and all nanomaterials have the same photocatalytic kinetic mechanism and order.

Shape memory materials(SMMs)are smart materials that can remember and recover substantial programmed deformation upon activation and exposure to an external stimulus such as temperature,magnetic field,electric field,pH value,and UV light.They can be used comfortably with human skin because of their low weight and softness.The application of both alloys and polymers of SMMs in textile has gained momentum to shape memory smart textiles and they have been used in many areas of textiles.The shape memory polymers have a wider application in textile applications and polymers are more advantageous than alloys in terms of their ease of use,aesthetics,and price.

Circadian clocks temporally coordinate physiology and align it with geophysical time,which enables diverse life-forms to anticipate daily environmental cycles.In complex organisms,clock function originates from the molecular oscillator within each cell and builds upward anatomically into an organism-wide system.Recent advances have transformed our understanding of how clocks are connected to achieve coherence across tissues.Circadian misalignment,often imposed in modern society,disrupts coordination among clocks and has been linked to diseases ranging from metabolic syndrome to cancer.

针对S-57海图读取转换复杂的问题,文中在分析S-57海图数据特点的基础上,重点研究了S-57海图数据内容解译,以及与基础地理信息数据的对应关系,设计了基于FME的数据转换流程,有效降低了S-57海图数据直接转换为基础地理信息数据的难度,为S-57海图数据在数字地图中的高效应用提供了技术支撑.

Background The corpus callosum(CC)is the most targeted region in the cerebrum that integrates cognitive data between homologous areas in the right and left hemispheres.Aims Our study used statistical analysis to determine whether there was a correlation between shape changes in the CC in patients with schizophrenia(SZ)(deficit syndrome(DS)and non-deficit syndrome(NDS))and healthy control(HC)subjects.Methods This study consisted of 27 HC subjects and 50 schizophrenic patients(20 with DS and 30 with NDS).3 patients with DS and 4 patients with NDS were excluded.Three-dimensional,sagittal,T1-spoiled,gradient-echo imaging was used.Standard anatomical landmarks were selected and marked on each image using specific software.results As to comparing the Procrustes mean shapes of the CC,statistically significant differences were observed between HC and SZ(DS+NDS)(p=0.017,James’s Fj=73.732),HC and DS(p<0.001,James’s Fj=140.843),HC and NDS(p=0.006,James’s Fj=89.178)and also DS and NDS(p<0.001,James’s Fj=152.967).Shape variability in the form of CC was 0.131,0.085,0.082 and 0.086 in the HC,SZ(DS+NDS),DS and NDS groups,respectively.Conclusions This study reveals callosal shape variations in patients with SZ and their DS and NDS subgroups that take into account the CC’s topographic distribution.

Dear Editor,Since calcium imaging can simultaneously record the calcium signals of several hundred neurons, it has been a powerful tool in measuring the functional activity of neural populations. However, calcium imaging is an indirect measurement of neuronal firing activity, and this technique requires reconstructing the AP trains from the corresponding calcium fluorescence signals of the recorded neurons.
