Method for determining vehicle i.e. motor car, environment, involves checking actual local environment data representing objects based on other actual local environment data, and verifying determined objects
The method involves storing actual local environment data (UD1, UD2) e.g. image and radar data, and optically detecting the actual local environment data (UD2) by an environment detecting unit (4) i.e. stereo camera, coupled with another environment detecting unit (3) i.e. radar sensor. A control unit (5) is processed such that objects (O1-On) e.g. animals, in a vehicle environment are determined based on the detected data. The actual local environment data representing the objects are checked based on other actual local environment data (UD1). The determined objects are verified. An independent claim is also included for a device for determining vehicle environment.
