The present invention is a mortar composition, especially for preparing viscoelastic structures and/or fire barriers, comprising (a) 15-50% by weight of a hydraulic binder, (b) 5-35% by weight of A mortar comprising or consisting of lightweight aggregate, (c) 5-25% by weight of an additional aggregate having a particle density higher than that of the lightweight aggregate, (d) 10-50% by weight of polymer.
