An artificial intelligence-based X-ray reading method and system including image preprocessing including image enhancement to detect lung nodules in raw medical images acquired with a digital X-ray detection sensor (Digital Radiographic Flat Panel Detector) in the medical field. provided Real-time automatic X-ray pulmonary nodule reading system according to an embodiment of the present invention, an image acquisition unit for acquiring an X-ray image of a patient; an image reading unit that divides the X-ray image received from the image acquisition unit into a plurality and reads whether or not there is a pulmonary nodule based on an image corresponding to a region of interest among the divided images; and an image viewer unit that receives the reading result from the image reading unit and displays it on the screen. Accordingly, it is possible to detect a lung nodule using a medical raw image acquired with a digital X-ray detection sensor (Digital Radiographic Flat Panel Detector) in a medical field. In addition, according to embodiments of the present invention, it is possible to prevent loss of information in an image processing process for image reading using an artificial intelligence-based learning model, and to maximize the detection efficiency of nodules as small as 1.5 to 3 mm in size.
