The game play environment includes the tee box, range surface and monitor. The tee box is configured to allow a player to hit a golf ball onto the range surface. The range surface has a plurality of physical markers. The monitor depicts a virtual environment comprising a plurality of virtual components. Some of the virtual components are visual cues corresponding to the physical markers. The player can play the game by targeting the appropriate physical markers corresponding to the desired visual cues.
