The present invention relates to an anti-obesity composition comprising a honey ant odor water extract as an active ingredient. The water extract has excellent effects in reducing body weight in obese animal models, reducing triglycerides and cholesterol, reducing blood insulin and lectin, increasing adiponectin, and inhibiting the expression of obesity-related genes in adipose tissue.
