To provide voltage regulators arranged parallelly in multiple stages in an electric power system, which can be operated in cooperation without using communication and which can reduce influence that is given by the operation of a voltage regulator at a relatively substation side on the operation of a voltage regulator at relatively terminal side, and provide a voltage regulation system.SOLUTION: A voltage regulator for an electric power system having a tap that is connected to the electric power system and adjusts a voltage of a voltage transformation secondary side, comprises: a time frame generation unit that generates a time frame at a prescribed period; a position holding unit that holds information on an installation position of a self-voltage regulator in the electric power system; and a tap operation gate unit that adjusts the tap at an operation timing determined by the information on the installation position in the time frame.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
