A system to consider the impact of Covid-19 on the household economy in India

A system to measure the impact of Covid-19 on India's household economy, which includes:a data collection centre for the collection of data from different sources, collecting data on Covid-19 progression, total number of households and workers in each district and the latest micro-data on the labour market;a unit of counting and accounting for the economic workforce, its employment and unemployment status, its types of employment and the status of its employment;a loss calculation unit to calculate the losses incurred by households as a result of closure, measuring the loss of wages (LW) and income (LY) of households in different sectors of the economy;an aggregation unit for aggregating employment with wage losses (LW) and income losses (LY) across different sectors and groups of the economy, combining wage and income losses with household employment status, e.g. household with main employment status, secondary and non-active status (EP, S),(EP, ~S),(UP, S) and (NP, S),and including disaggregation of wage and income losses for men and women;a transitional unit of calculation to calculate the probability that an employed worker will change from one employment stream to another within a very small weekly window, comparing the employment status between any pairs of days, the number of pairs of days within a weekamounts; anda derivation unit to derive the scenarios for calculating wage losses over the lock-off period and to create those scenarios according to the degree of government-imposed relaxation in each major industry over the lock-off periods.
