ADAPTIVE PEAK-TO-AVERAGE RATIO PAPR SUPPRESSION APPARATUS AND METHOD, AND COMMUNICATION DEVICE

The present application relates to an adaptive peak-to-average ratio PAPR suppression apparatus and method, and a communication device. The PAPR suppression device comprises: a first clipping module and a second clipping module. The second clipping module outputs to the first clipping module a signal to be clipped that meets input conditions of the first clipping module, wherein the input conditions comprise peak distribution features of an input signal. The first clipping module performs first clipping processing on the signal to be clipped to obtain a first clipped signal. The PAPR suppression is performed by means of the cooperation of the two-stage clipping modules. Compared to the configuration of simple clipping parameters in related technologies (typical scenarios), no clippings are missing, PAPR is controllable, and a power amplifier is protected. Compared to a method for needing to extract each peak and perform clipping processing in severe scenarios, the method for preconfiguring clipping parameters according to statistical features of the present application is simpler to implement.
