Cellulose acetate tow with high DPF and low titanium dioxide content

Provided herein is a cellulose acetate tow band having less than 0.1 wt. % titanium dioxide, the content of titanium dioxide being determined by ash ash and/or titanium particle count density. Also provided herein is a method for determining the titanium dioxide content of cellulose acetate tow by ashing. Also provided herein is a method for measuring the color of cellulose acetate tow.
