PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a life evaluation system and a life evaluation method having a high degree of freedom of parameters regarding the degree of fatigue damage of a machine part and having high versatility. A life evaluation system (10) is composed of first and second information processing devices (12) and (13) configured so as to be able to communicate with each other via a network (14). The first information processing device 12 inputs the type of the parameter measured by the sensor 15, and transmits the parameter type to the second information processing device 13. The second information processing apparatus 13 selects a frequency distribution calculation method, a stress frequency distribution conversion method, and a life calculation method based on the parameter type. The second information processing device 13 calculates and evaluates the life of the machine component 11 using the selected calculation method, and transmits the life to the first information processing device 12.
