An exemplary non-inductive resonant near field antenna includes: (i) a conductive plate having first and second opposing flat surfaces and one or more cutouts extending through the conductive plate from the first surface to the second surface; and (ii) ) An insulator and (iii) a feed element configured to direct a plurality of RF power transfer signals to the conductive plate and separated from the first surface of the conductive plate by the insulator. At least some of the plurality of RF power transfer signals radiate through the cutout(s) and accumulate within the near-field distance of the conductive plate to store the stored RF energy in each cutout(s). Generate at least two segmented zones. Also, the at least two segmented zones of stored RF energy in the cutout(s) are based at least in part on a set of dimensions defining each cutout(s) and an arrangement of cutout(s). Stipulated.
