To provide a method for manufacturing a seaweed-modified PP spun-bonded nonwoven fabric.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for manufacturing a seaweed-modified PP spun-bonded nonwoven fabric containing an alginate of 0.1 to 2 mass% and having a moisture content of 0.2 to 3.5% and an antibacterial ratio of ≥98%, in which the method comprises a step 1 of placing a polypropylene and 0.1 to 2% alginate in total mass in a horizontal type twin-screw ribbon mixer, heating to 40 to 80°C, mixing for 20 to 40 minutes, adding polyethylene glycol, polyvinyl pyrrolidone and an antioxidant to it, heating to 180 to 190°C, and mixing 20 to 40 minutes to obtain a mixed solution; and a step 2 of placing the mixed solution obtained in the step 1 into a spinning box, spinning, cooling by a side blow box, drawing to obtain a fiber web, and hot-rolling the obtained fiber web into a fabric in a hot rolling mill to obtain the seaweed-modified PP spun-bonded nonwoven fabric.SELECTED DRAWING: None
