The present application relates to a rock-deck-based carbon quantum dot and a method for manufacturing the same, and the rock-deck-based carbon quantum dot according to the present application is eco-friendly and can manufacture a large amount of carbon quantum dots in one reaction. In addition, since it can exhibit various colors (multi-color) according to the change of the excitation wavelength, it can be usefully used in the development of imaging probes having various fluorescence colors. In addition, it can be usefully used in the development of sunscreens, films, etc. because it exhibits a UV-blocking effect.
