The present invention relates to a connecting compound for the material connection of two or more plastic components, comprising a solvent and a polymer material, each made of the same or similar polymers from which the plastic components are formed. Furthermore, the invention relates to a kit for producing a plastic part, comprising a first and a second plastic component and a connecting compound according to the invention. The invention also relates to a method for producing a plastic part, in which a first and a second plastic component and a connecting compound according to the invention are provided, with a connection between the first plastic component, the polymer material of the connecting compound and the second plastic component being created by volatilizing the solvent and optionally melting the polymeric materials takes place. Furthermore, the invention relates to a motor vehicle component comprising two or more plastic components which are cohesively connected to one another by means of a connecting compound according to the invention.
