Disclosed in the present invention are an air tightness test method for an electrical connector and a vehicle-end electrical connection device. The electrical connector comprises a vehicle-end electrical connection device and a battery-end electrical connection device that cooperate with each other to achieve electrical connection. The vehicle-end electrical connection device is provided with an annular sealing ring. When the vehicle-end electrical connection device and the battery-end electrical connection device cooperate to achieve electrical connection, the annular sealing ring is respectively connected to the mating end of the vehicle-end electrical connection device and the mating end of the battery-end electrical connection device to form a closed cavity. The air tightness test method is used for detecting whether there is air leakage in the closed cavity. Said method comprises: filling a preset volume of air into the closed cavity; and measuring the air pressure in the closed cavity, and determining, according to the air pressure, whether there is air leakage in the closed cavity. In the present application, by filling air into an closed cavity and monitoring air pressure data, the tightness of a connector can be effectively, actively and quickly determined, thereby further improving the driving safety.
