Disclosed is an optical engine of a wearable electronic device, which comprises: a micro-LED array, the micro-LED array including a plurality of pixels; a transparent cover which is disposed above the micro-LED array and passes light output from the micro-LED array; and a circuit board which is disposed under the micro-LED array and supplies driving power and a control signal to at least one of the micro-LED array and the transparent cover. The transparent cover comprises: a first birefringence plate; a first liquid crystal element disposed on the first birefringence plate; a second birefringence plate disposed on the first liquid crystal element; a second liquid crystal element disposed on the second birefringence plate; and a polarization plate disposed on the second liquid crystal element. Various other embodiments identified through the present document are possible.
