To provide skin-wound healing promoting compositions for skin application that contain lactic acid bacteria as an active ingredient, to provide methods for producing the same, and to provide wound dressings.SOLUTION: A skin-wound healing promoting composition for skin application contains as an active ingredient lactic acid bacterial powder having a median particle diameter of 1.0 μm or less measured by a wet type laser diffraction scattering method. The skin-wound healing promoting composition is produced by preparing a microbial cell concentrated liquid containing lactic acid bacteria so that the content of lactic acid bacteria is 0.01 mass% or more and less than 20 mass% in terms of dry bacterial cells in the concentrated liquid; adding a soluble excipient into the microbial cell concentrated liquid so as to be 12 mass% or more based on a final dry concentration; and pulverizing and dispersing the microbial cell concentrated liquid to which the soluble excipient is added, subsequently drying and powdering. A wound-dressing contains the above skin-wound healing promoting composition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
