PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of easily acquiring a 3D scene using a LIDAR system.SOLUTION: A LIDAR system includes a transmitter 3, a receiver 4, and a pivotable mirror arrangement disposed between the transmitter 3 and a 3D scene 2. The transmitter 3 is operated as a laser light source 5, and the receiver 4 is configured as a matrix sensor 12 with an irradiation optical system 11 and light sensors 14 distributed over a surface 13. Light points 17 reflected at pixels 19 of a point cloud 18 of the 3D scene 2 are generated by light pulses 7 of the transmitter 3 and by pivoting movement of the mirror arrangement 6. An input signal is acquired from each of the light points 17 by the light sensors 14 and a distance of the light points 17 to the matrix sensor 12 is determined based on a light propagation time measurement. A defocused input signal of a light point 17 including a plurality of light sensors 14 is displayed by the irradiation optical system 11 and the input signals of the light sensors 14 are compared.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
