PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extended field device which simultaneously performs various different functions in different contexts and uses one or more different communication protocols to communicate with different or individual client devices or applications. A field device can directly and indirectly communicate with a plurality of different applications and clients, while at the same time operating the field device as a data server that implements a standard process or factory automation control function in a secure manner. It consists of an interface, a communication connection structure, and security functions.
