FIELD: soil cleanup; wastewater treatment. ;SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for producing a hybrid organic-inorganic sorbent. In this method, shungite and substances containing humic acids are subjected to mechanochemical activation in a mechanical action apparatus at a temperature not exceeding 70°C until the components of the mixture are crushed to a size of no more than 1 mm. Ratio of components, wt. %: shungite 40-90; substances containing humic acids 10-60. Shungite contains 5-80 wt. % silicon oxide and 20-95 wt. % carbon. ;EFFECT: development of a method for obtaining a sorbent with an increased sorption capacity in relation to heavy metals (lead, cadmium, mercury), oil and petroleum products, surfactants, radionuclides, and also contributing to the improvement of the subsequent biodegradation of oil and petroleum products. ;3 cl, 4 tbl, 15 ex
