PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an umbelliferone derivative exhibiting a skin epidermal cell proliferation action mediated by a type 7 collagen increasing action and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The umbelliferone derivative referred to here has one molecule of umbelliferone, one molecule of inosin and one molecule of proline as constituent molecules. The umbelliferone derivative is represented by the molecular formula C23H21O8N5 and is composed of 23 carbons, 21 hydrogens, 8 oxygens and 5 nitrogens. The estimated molecular weight is 495.44. The method for producing this derivative is a production process in which coriander and platinum powder are fermented with lactic acid bacilli and then purified. This umbelliferone derivative is used in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and foods that are expected to have a beauty effect. In particular, it is used as a stem cell cosmetic because it exhibits an excellent function in the proliferation of epidermal stem cells in the basal layer. [Selection diagram] None
