The method according to the invention is characterized by:that a temperature gradient (ΔT) of the driving engine (3) is determined from a temperature gradient (20) of the driving engine (3); and/or that a temperature gradient (ΔT) of the working motor (2) is determined from a temperature gradient (20) of the working motor (2) and that a power consumption of the driving motor (3) is limited according to the temperature (T) of the driving motor (3) and the temperature gradient (ΔT) of the driving motor (3)is and/or the temperature (T) of the working motor (2) and the temperature gradient (ΔT) of the working motor (2) limit the power consumption of the working motor (2). The invention further relates to a corresponding drive train (1) and a working machine.
