A display control device contains an information acquisition section and a display control section. The information collection section collects information relating to a peripheral target object located in front of the vehicle and in a relevant vehicle lane in which the vehicle is currently driving, and information relating to a precautionary object, which is outside the lane of the vehicle concerned and has an effect on the steering during autonomous driving. The display control section shows an image of the peripheral target object in relation to what information is captured by the information acquisition section,on a head-up display provided in a cabin of the vehicle, and shall additionally display on the head-up display an image of the warning object when information relating to the warning object has been collected through the information collection section.
