The invention relates to an ultrasonic sensor device for a mobile device, in particular a robot and/or a vehicle and/or a missile and/or an aircraft, for the detection and characterization of objects in the vicinity of the mobile device with a long range and the ability to evaluate strong frequency distortions. It includes a narrow band. prefers piezoelectric, conventional ultrasonic transmitters, such as those used today in cars for parking aids and which typically shows a large sound radiation power, and at least one, preferably several MEMS ultrasonic receivers,which typically have a large frequency bandwidth. By exploiting the frequency bandwidth of the MEMS ultrasonic receivers, distortions can be better evaluated and converted into a vehicle environment map. Preferably, the second frequency bandwidth of the MEMS ultrasonic receiver is equal to or greater than the first frequency bandwidth of the ultrasonic transmitter multiplied by a factor of 2 and/or 5 and/or 10 and/or 20 and/or 50 and/or 100.
