The present invention provides aluminium alloys for manufacturing of aluminium cans by impact extrusion. Alloys according to the invention consist of 0.050-0.265 wt. % Si, 0.150-0.250 wt. % Fe, 0.010- 0.125 wt. % Cu, 0.010-0.400 wt. % Mn, 0.100-0.200 wt. % Mg, 0.150-0.250 wt. % Cr, 0.010-0.100 wt. % Ti, 0.001-0.050 wt. % B, less than 0.15 wt. % of secondary alloying elements with less than 0.05 wt. % of any secondary alloying element, and aluminium as the remainder.
