FIELD: building.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the building industry and can be used for producing mineral wool from bottom ash waste from incineration plants, basalt rocks applying plasma technology. To improve the environmental situation and expand the raw material base in manufacture of mineral wool, bottom ash waste from incineration plants and basalt rocks are used as raw materials. The plasma method for producing mineral wool includes loading of the initial raw materials into the corresponding hoppers, automated preparation of the working mixture, transportation and melting thereof in the reaction chamber of the reactor, supply of the melt to an inflating mechanism resulting in mineral wool, discharge and packaging of the finished mineral plate. The working mixture is melted using alternating current in a plasma three-phase electromagnetic reactor with a reinforced lining. The working mixture is prepared in a mixer, complying with the proportions of the components included therein in the automatic mode providing a possibility of adjustment by the operator. The working mixture is input into the of plasma arc burning area through three branch pipes with a displacement towards the power electrodes. The melt is mixed by a magnetic field created by an electromagnet with a series winding, driven by an independent power source. The melt is drained by a mechanised method, adjusting the temperature of the outflowing stream using direct current. Mineral fibre is produced on an inflating mechanism, followed by deposition, cutting and packaging thereof. The gases discharged from the reactor are purified and cooled in a gas exhaust system.;EFFECT: improvement in the quality of the manufactured products and the security of operation of the unit with the possibility of continuous operation.;2 cl, 4 tbl, 4 dwg, 2 ex
