Provided is a monomer composition for a contact lens that is prepared by using a polysiloxane monomer to produce a polymer, exhibits good surface hydrophilicity and oxygen permeability, and is also excellent in terms of modulus and elongation at break. It was discovered that the monomer composition containing a phosphorylcholine group containing polysiloxane monomer, a monovinyl ether monomer, etc. could achieve the said objective.
