The present invention relates to a method for measuring reliability and validity of health information. According to an embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a method for measuring body temperature of an ear thermometer that is inserted into an external auditory meatus to measure body temperature, the method comprising: irradiating light with a first light source inserted into the external auditory meatus; a first measurement step of measuring a first intensity, that is, intensity of light reflected by the sensor inserted into the ear canal; irradiating light by a second light source inserted into the external auditory meatus and disposed at a position different from the first light source; a second measuring step of measuring a second intensity that is the intensity of the reflected light by the sensing unit; irradiating light by a third light source inserted into the external auditory meatus and disposed at a position different from the first light source and the second light source; a third measuring step of measuring a third intensity that is the intensity of the reflected light by the sensing unit; and calculating a standard deviation of the first intensity, the second intensity, and the third intensity. If the standard deviation is less than or equal to a reference value, the average value of the first intensity, the second intensity, and the third intensity or any one of the standard deviations and setting the value or the lowest value as a reference strength that is a basis for determining reliability when the next body temperature is sensed.
