The present invention provides a target detection method, an electronic device, a roadside device and a cloud control platform, and relates to the field of intelligent transportation technology, and more particularly, to computer vision and deep learning technology. The implementation method includes the steps of: acquiring a detection image of a target to be detected, the detection image being an image captured by a monocular camera for detection as a target; obtaining a target detection model, the target detection model is set to extract position information of the target to be detected from the detection image, the position information of the target to be detected is an orthographic center point of the target to be detected on the ground where the target to be detected is located comprising pixel coordinates projected onto the image plane of the detection monocular camera; inputting the detection image into the target detection model to extract position information of the target to be detected; and determining a three-dimensional position of the target to be detected based on the location information of the target to be detected.
