The present invention provides a novel Zn(II)-based metal-organic structure having mixed organic ligands of 1,3,5-benzene tricarboxylic acid (BTC) and 2-methylimidazole (mIm), a simple and economical solvothermal method. It is about synthesizing through The synthesized MOF has a cubic shape with a high surface area (1248 m2/g) capable of hydrogen adsorption at a temperature of -10 °C to 25 °C and a pressure of 100 bar. The hydrogen adsorption capacity of the new MOF is in the range of 23-0.2 wt%.
