ALKALI-DOPED AND ALKALI-FREE BOROALUMINOSILICATE GLASS

Alkali-doped boroaluminosilicate glasses are provided. The glass includes SiO 2 , B 2 O 3 , and Al 2 O 3 which are network formers. The glass, in some embodiments, has a Young's modulus of less than about 65 GPa and/or a coefficient of thermal expansion of less than about 40 x 10 -7 /°C. The glass may be used as a cover glass for an electronic device, a color filter substrate, a thin film transistor substrate, or an outer cladding layer for a glass laminate.
